Manati Park Bavaro, Punta Cana

#3 of 9 in Theme Parks in Dominican Republic
Theme Park Water / Amusement Park
Take a boat out to shallow sandbars that are abundantly populated by rays at aptly named Manati Park Bavaro. (You'll be briefed on how to interact properly with creatures.) Thought to have been originally attracted to the sand bars by fisherman gutting and cleaning their fish, the stingrays still congregate here, though the fisherman have been replaced by tourists who are ready to feed them squid. Don your snorkel and you'll be able to pet, feed, and observe the stingrays as they move around the water. • It was a great experience. My daughter had the opportunity to swim with the dolphins and for her it was a dream fulfilled. The staff was excellent.

  • When I read the ratings and the different opinions before you go there, I admit that you can be skeptical about the interest of such a visit. However temper things. It is obvious that for parks with dolphins and other regulars in cities such as Miami or Europe etc... It is of less interest. This small park has met my expectations! I had never approached and watched dolphins, so a first for me and my little girl who shared the pool with its guests. In fact, it is impressive to see the work done by trainers on both the dolphins and parrots. It's true there is the next, which may shock: prohibition to enter the park with water bottles, prices in dollars, ect... It seems to me that this park be more reserved for young children... C true, there are definitely better, but I wasn't in Florida, or everything is Grand, but Dr an island, in the process of development. The Europeans are certainly more demanding than we Caribbean, culture shock!

  • Excellent place, people who attended us all the way super friendly, very attentive, we really liked the concern they had with us at all times.

  • Huge waste of money. Do not go here. If I could give it zero stars I would. Exploiting animals for money is disgusting. None of the animals have near enough room to live and run. All the employees try to make you buy stuff the entire time. This place is run down, old and should be shut down.
  • please dont go there. it should be, all about the pleasure, not all about the money. they should shut it down, en take all animals to places where they have more dignity en space
  • This a nice interactive zoo. However, you're not able to bring in your own food or beverages. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and out the animals but near the end of the "tour" you're forced to go to an area that has many little huts where you're bombarded with over eager locals looking for you to buy stuff from them. You almost need to be rude to them to get away.
  • It's a decent place to visit probably over priced for what you get. I feel bad for the dolphins that are given no room or place to swim around.
  • I felt so sad for these animals. Please don't support this mentality.
