Explore Indigenous Eyes Ecological Park & Reserve, a Punta Cana private subtropical forest reserve. The area was named for its 12 freshwater lagoons, which the native Taino people described as “eyes”. While free self-guided tours of the reserve are only available to the guests of the Punta Cana resort, visitors can enjoy a three-hour guided tour of the verdant ecological park. Wander through the lush forest, spot an array of rare plants and tropical birds, and cool off in the crystal clear waters of the lagoons. During the tour, you can also pay a visit to the iguana farm, meet the petting zoo animals, and stroll through the botanical and fruit gardens. • A perfect alternative to the beaches of punta cana. There are several crystalline lagoons are accessed along paths marked in the middle of exuberant nature. A delicious swim in fresh water.

  • If you like cenotes/ lagoons then the park is worth a trip. Self guided entrance is $25 US or $65/$75 for guided tour/segway.The guy on the ticket desk was prepared to haggle so have a go! Overpriced ...  more »
  • It's hard to imagine that such a place exists so close from the international airport of punta cana. It's a walk very nice and shaded snaking along a trail in the middle of the vegetation. There are 13 "lagoons" in total, including 3 where swimming is possible. The largest of them is beautiful and appointed a dock that allows you to jump directly into the lagoon. For the less adventurous, there is also access to water by a wooden staircase. Swimming is very pleasant and ideal water temperature. In all, the ballad lasts 2 hours by walking quickly, but you can easily stay a whole after noon. At the end of the Park, there is an access to a beach, I found uninteresting. Note for customers of the 4 points by Sheraton, the shuttle and the entrance to the Park are free upon presentation of your room key.
