  • very pleasant and friendly atmosphere ,we visited the casino for the first time and the staff helped us to understand the casino rules
  • Small casino with not too many machines to chose from. They had a girl dancing when you walked in and she couldn't dance at all it was comical. They had a raffle drawing to get people's attention. Sad...  more »

  • Here in vacation.. and never in my life have I met such rude People who work here. Idk who runs Barcelo but they need to fire all their workers and hire friendlier ones.. service is horrible.. I am here with my family and have requested another room because the people next door are absolutely so rude Yelling and banging on our walls at 2 am!! And waking up my 10 month old.. they would not give us a new room they said to try tomorrow.. food is manageable as in I'll survive off this.. I guve a negative star. Don't come here..
  • Spend 5 minutes to read this and you'll save your money and nerves. We spent 9 days there, it was the most miserable and nerve-racking vacation ever! HOTEL * There is no mosquito netting on the window (and it's a country with Zika virus) * Nobody speaks English, even the front desk barely can pronounce a few words, you'll have to learn Spanish to find something * Staff is speaking Spanish, they can just look at you and laugh when you pass by * You have to wait in the line everywhere, up to 30 min to have a breakfast, talk to front desk, or even to get a drink on the beach (too many people) * It's hard to find a free spot anywhere * Food is bad, really really poor choice, all the same every day and it's not tasty at all, drinks are cheap - mostly just water and sugar, and maybe some color added, don't expect to find a real juice anywhere. I was hungry all the time because I couldn't force myself to eat this... food * Food names are confusing, you can find "creeps", or "chicken tampon" to eat, no ingredients listed * No mojito, no apple juice (usually, there is only 1 kind - pineapple juice), 1 kind of coffee, alcohol drinks are really expensive, Red Label costs like $200 for a bottle * You better check up the towel before you use it - may be dirty, I found a cockroach in mine * Safe deposit box literally had no display (there was just a hole instead), so we had to wait for 3 or 4 hours to get it fixed (and stay in the room) * If you call front desk too often - they will turn your phone off * Most of the staff is lazy and slow, often they just walk around to look busy * Nobody's smiling at you, nobody's smiling you back, people are rude and you have to struggle for food * They may give you a smile if you are Latino, you brought your 5 small kids with you and you can make a joke in Spanish * Quiet sign does not bother maid girls when they want to talk to each other or sing at 8 am right under your door, so don't expect to get a nice long sleep * 50% of people are Russians who yell and throw up right to the bushes next to the bar * The room was dirty until we asked to clean it (there was somebody's hair on the floor) * You'll be drinking from plastic glasses and those will be swimming around you in the pool * Pool is dirty, people are all around the bar, here you have to struggle again and if somebody bumps in - don't wait for them to say a simple "sorry" * People are allowed to smoke everywhere - on the beach, in the pool, in their rooms, around kids * There was a nail in our bed, sharp side to the pillows * Heat in the room is not working, so when it's cold - just help yourself * They wrote in the brochure that they are not responsible for your belongings that are not placed into the safe deposit box, so basically you leave you stuff in the room at your own risk * Shower water runs hot/cold/hot/cold * Internet costs $12/day for only 1 device and it turns off every time your iPhone blocks, then you have to re-login * Ridiculous prices for sunscreen, Cortizone etc * There is no fish or turtles in the ocean, no animals anywhere (unlike in Mexico), heavy waves HOTEL pros * Nice sand and palm trees * Fine water pressure * At least guest service speaks ENG COUNTRY * After the flight we'd been waiting for a few hours in the line to see our mean customs officer, and there was the only 1 restroom functioning (and 20 people in the line). If you want to proceed faster - you can try to BRIBE somebody for $5 (some guys did) * The country is really poor, trash is everywhere, natives are looking at tourists from under brows * They discriminate women * They act like you owe them something and they are doing you a great favor Thank you Dominican people and thank you Barcelo Punta Cana for RUINING our vacation. It just SUCKED every single day. I believe our money had been STOLEN, we never got what we expected so we just lost more than 2 thousand dollars in a few miserable days. It was the first time ever when I wanted my vacation to end ASAP. We or any of our friends will NEVER visit DR or Barcelo anywhere in the world again.
  • Nice pool and installations. The licor in most bars isn't that good. Only in the one next to the beach the had decent Vodka (Stolichnaya). The pool closes really early and the check-in took some time.
  • Ruined vacation, wasted money and just 9 days out of our lives! We will never take a risk and go to the Dominican Republic again, neither to Barcelo. Tried to get out of there earlier or get a reimbursement - guess what? They (Barcelo and CheapCaribbean) returned us LESS THAN 5%! Never. Ever. Again.
  • My wife and I had always wanted to take a trip to Punta Cana we finally made it this September 2016 . We stayed at the Barcelo Premium Punta Cana . The grand entrance, the immaculate grounds so are relaxing its like a home away from home cant wait to take another trip. The hotel staff , bell man (Jorge) restaurant Lorenzo and Martha and Randy from tours to name a few exceed our expectations. We had the pleasure of dinning in the Dominican restaurant one evening with some friends we met there we had a blast. One of the best vacation we ever had .
