Playa Punta Popy, Las Terrenas
(4.1/5 based on 170+ reviews on the web)
Visit the picturesque and vibrant Playa Punta Popy, a long beach that encompasses everything from fun and games to peace and quiet. Rest beneath the palms on the main strip, where you have bars, restaurants, and water sports businesses at your disposal. Alternatively, consider walking east beyond the point, for a more peaceful spot to enjoy the sea. The beach can get busy with locals enjoying picnics and music on Sunday. However, despite the crowds, a police presence keeps things safe and under control. With our world travel planner, Las Terrenas attractions like Playa Punta Popy can be center stage of your vacation plans, and you can find out about other attractions like it, unlike it, near it, and miles away.

  • beginning with the title written above ... it's a shame, really a shame that this corner of playa Las Terrenas has almost vanished in recent years because of heavy weather, until a few years ago, the beach was wide and beautiful, now the sea has mostly "eaten" and remained well short of the beautiful Punta Popy ... Sin , shame really
