Playa Bonita, Las Terrenas
(4.7/5 based on 700+ reviews on the web)
Get away from the crowds at Playa Bonita, a small and secluded beach that offers a welcome contrast to others on the Samana Peninsula. The crescent-shaped beach has a castaway feel, with a rugged but inviting atmosphere. More exposed than other beaches nearby, the wind and water come on strongly here, making it particularly good for surfers, boogie boarders, or people who enjoy a bit more action offshore. Quiet, restful, and a little wild, the beach still has much to offer in the way of restaurants and other amenities, with businesses set just back from the sands. Playa Bonita is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our custom trip planner, Las Terrenas Edition.

  • It is a 15 min on bike from las Terrenas. It is a place to relax and admire nature. You get disconnected everything and then you don't want to go. It has only two restaurants ensuring calm. The sand is yellow and the beach has an area of waves where is can surf but also has an area more calm where even can enjoy them children. I think that the beaches of the province of Samana are of them more beautiful and authentic of Dominican Republic.

  • In November, not crowded, you can swim well, good restaurants and nice walk on the beach. You can relax here.
