Carretera Samana Toll Road, Las Terrenas

(3.4/5 based on 280+ reviews on the web)
Drive along Carretera Samana Toll Road, a scenic highway connecting Santo Domingo and Samana province. The well-maintained road opened in 2009 and has significantly reduced the travel time between the two cities. Along the way, enjoy the lush tropical jungle vegetation and ocean views. On the picturesque drive you'll pass three different toll booths; the price might seem a bit steep, but the route will get you to your destination much faster than the old roads.
