Playa Madama, Las Galeras
(4.4/5 based on 150+ reviews on the web)
Enjoy the clear azure waters and pristine white sand of Playa Madama, a beach flanked by verdant rolling hillsides, plantations, and cliffs. The secluded and untouristed nature of the spot make it ideal for snorkeling or relaxing on the soft sand with a book. Trails lead to the beach through picturesque and lush environs, but exercise caution if you're in a small group, as the remoteness of the area can leave you vulnerable to crime. Try to visit the beach as part of a boat tour to stay on the safe side. There are no restrooms on site, so plan ahead. A visit to Playa Madama represents just the start of the adventure when you use our Las Galeras itinerary builder to plot your vacation.

  • Virgin beach abandoned in jungle. Accessible by boat, horse or long walk. You may also find some caverns right nearby the beach.
  • Superb Beach. Very calm romantic and secluded. No tourists. The beach and water were clean and picturesque. Stayed there for an two hours to swim. If we had more time, we would have hiked there on a separate day. *****

  • Beach chic Madame or Coco Beach. Total length of 60 m. Framed by mountains. Near the cave with bats. People do not have, but the car had to leave and get a foot on the trail 1 km. After about 1 km on the right path-luxurious mango tree:)

  • Something magical was to get to this beautiful beach, is something heavenly. For people who love adventure and being a traveller is interesting to arrive on foot and not by boat to this beautiful beach
