#1 of 19 in Things to do in Las Galeras
Soak up the sun in a lively atmosphere at La Playita Beach. With the convenient proximity to the main strip, you'll find plenty to drink and eat, including fresh coconuts, cold beers, and fresh fish. Swaying palms, soft white sand, and clear blue water offer a pristine beach experience, although you might find the seaweed a bit thick in spots. Swim, snorkel, bodyboard, or simply admire the backdrop of green hills and cliffs as you sip on a cold beverage. • We were told this beach after a stroll to the Galeras and what a surprise: a clear sea, fine sand and cocktails galore! Access is possible via the Galeras walk predict 15 min walk.

  • This beach was amazing. There is no world for definition of the view. Sea was unbelievable clean and pure. And i really like the sand too. The only problem is the beginning part of the beach is full o...  more »
  • All french Club Coralia at the great Paradise next to Las Galeras have heard about and the discovery of the Playita for a ride with the club. Very easy to find it is at 20 minutes walk from the hotel (30 minutes at an easy walk) and it's really worth the detour. Almost person, white sand and coconut trees for shade and views of the beautiful lagoon. A without hesitation!

  • One of the more accessible beaches in Las Galeras, La Playita is a postcard-worthy beach with beautiful water and nice swimming. There are a few places to eat at the entrance to the beach, and you can easily catch a boat tour to Rincón, Frontón, or elsewhere on the peninsula. If you are staying in Las Galeras but don't want to make a trek out to the farther away attractions, head to La Playita.
  • Amazing, natural, clear and warm water, white sand, kind people... Beautiful and magic place
  • Quite nice beach. Can't really say it's anyhow outstanding though. Dificuilt access to sea from a left side of beach due to lots of sharp stones and seaweed after few meteres in water. Food was good but not that much different then in other restaurants in DR. Fish with coconut soup was interesting and I would suggest to try it over a grilled fish chops.
  • The Beach os natural place of Dominican Republic with clean and Warm water.
  • Beautiful little beach with great restaurants for lunch
