El Limon, Dominican Republic
(3.2/5 based on 200+ reviews on the web)
Hidden in the depths of the Samana jungle, marvel at El Limon, a 52 m (170 ft) cascading waterfall, a result of the Arroyo Chico river. A rugged trail through tropical steep terrain, your journey starts from the small town located roughly 5.6 km (3.4 mi) from the falls. Once you reach the falls, a picturesque site awaits, with a chance to refresh yourself in the cool water pools. Numerous tours run along this trail both on foot and on horseback. If you choose to travel by foot, wear appropriate footwear as paths are slippery and pass many rivers. Research operators of horse back tours before choosing, due to some reports of poor animal treatment. Plan to see El Limon and other attractions that appeal to you using our Las Terrenas trip builder.

  • Unique and unforgettable experience, by the natural beauty of the waterfall. Route the horse trained "a little Rocky, because the trail found too traveled the denoting rocks, pools of water, etc. that are not favourable to the animals in transport (round trip) to the site of the cascade. Place to visit and experience without a doubt stay in Dominican Republic.
