El Limon, Dominican Republic

(3.2/5 based on 220+ reviews on the web)
Hidden in the depths of the Samana jungle, marvel at El Limon, a 52 m (170 ft) cascading waterfall, a result of the Arroyo Chico river. A rugged trail through tropical steep terrain, your journey starts from the small town located roughly 5.6 km (3.4 mi) from the falls. Once you reach the falls, a picturesque site awaits, with a chance to refresh yourself in the cool water pools. Numerous tours run along this trail both on foot and on horseback. If you choose to travel by foot, wear appropriate footwear as paths are slippery and pass many rivers. Research operators of horse back tours before choosing, due to some reports of poor animal treatment. Plan to see El Limon and other attractions that appeal to you using our Las Terrenas trip builder.

  • I recommend to all the guests in las terrenas, not pay to go to the access of this attraction, since it lies on the main road, and there are groups out of the hotels that charge very little to leave them on the doorstep, where a few guys place guides, charging very little rent them horses to make a long journey through the jungle with ascents and descents the terrain of the area, until after much heat to this majestic and refreshing jump where it is a delight to take the best and inolvidaable dip! We decided to do it on foot, and we became a little hard, being rendered. but... VALIO LA PENA IMMENSELY!
