Explore the protected landscape and wildlife of National Park of the East. Occupying 791.9 sq km (306 sq mi) of land and marine environments, the national park features a scenic peninsula covered in both subtropical rainforest and subtropical dry forest. An island in the park provides a secluded location for beachside relaxation, and features a wealth of bountiful dive sites among the reefs that lie just offshore. • It's always a pleasure to come back to this place where the green of the coastal vegetation is reflected in 50 shades of blue of the Caribbean Sea. Playa del Canto remains one of the most desirable of the Caribbean. The mangrove forest with rich fauna and Marina; the enchantment of the beaches of the island Saona, reproducing naturally magic classic stereotype del Caribe, with Palm trees as far as the eye and a sea of colors. In short, to visit. And don't forget to take a ride in the stalls and "Colmado" of Bayahibe where you will find great pieces of handicraft and typical products of the island: cocoa, coffee, rum.
