Soufriere Scottshead Marine Reserve, Scotts Head

(4.4/5 based on 35 reviews on the web)
Observe the picturesque multicolored houses in the fishing village of Soufriere Scottshead Marine Reserve, a World Heritage Site where the Caribbean Sea meets the Atlantic Ocean. Take a hike to the point for stunning views of both oceans, and snorkel in these protected waters to find a vast quantity of marine life and corals. If you're feeling brave, snorkel a short way out to witness a dramatic drop off into the depths and note the differing life there. Be aware that occasionally pushy and uncertified guides roam nearby, and you won't need one to enjoy this lovely environment. Use our Scotts Head itinerary planner to add Soufriere Scottshead Marine Reserve and other attractions to your Scotts Head vacation plans.

  • Reef was dead and very few fish. Not worth the trip if you are visiting Dominica. Went on a shore excursion from the QM2 and requested a refund.
  • Guides really helpful. Amazing drop off views into the crater. Varied marine life. Atlantic on one side and the Caribbean ocean a stones throw on the other.
  • The impression of arriving at the end of the world with this spit of land (the crater) that separates the Atlantic from the Caribbean. Charming fishing village built against the mountain with beautiful views. Beach of Pebble and underwater fauna very present. Do not miss.
