  • Not ideal during rainy season. It is difficult to find a map of the trail with detailed information. We found a book with all the segments for 20 US at the wildlife center at the end of the Valley rd....  more »
  • A solo 11 14 segments + the Boiling Lake in 8 days. Most of the segments are easy for one hiker, others downright adventurous (9 including). Apart from the segments through villages or on the Atlantic coast, you'll encounter almost no hiker. Provide enough water and sticks to market because we don't do that up and down sometimes on difficult trails. Apart from the segment 9, the trail is well marked however the damage caused by the rains of 2015 are visible by place. For the segment 9, I advise go you without a guide because we get easily lost at each river crossing and there is no network incident. Trail advice for lovers of nature and solitude, loving effort and a framework of forest tropical bewitching. Little wildlife to see, apart from countless lizards and dogs... The Dominicans are kind and smiling while keeping their distance.
