Titou Gorge, Roseau

(4.8/5 based on 340+ reviews on the web)
Trek through the rugged rainforest landscape to reach Titou Gorge, the site of two cascading waterfalls among the rocky canyons. The trails take you through the Morne Trois Piton National Park, surrounding you with exotic plant life. Distant sprays of water cool you off as you come closer to the falls. Middleham Falls features water falling from 86 m (280 ft) into a natural pool that you can swim in. Titou Gorge however requires you to swim up the gorge to reach the top of the waterfall inside the canyon. Expect a moderately difficult trek and wear appropriate footwear. Put Titou Gorge at the forefront of your travel plans using our Roseau vacation route planner.

  • Ti Tou Gorge is quite intriguing and an adventurer's dream exploration point. If you're no not up to exploring the water caves you can always enjoy to outdoor pool and chill with friends and family.  more »
  • It is a nice waterfall and a beautiful hike but in the heat it is a moderate effort. Water shoes would be advised.  more »

  • Great challenge to brave the swim through the narrow gorge against the current..be careful people have lost their lives swimming in that location..
  • River Gorge and Falls were as expected. I didn't find the water that cold, swimming against the current was a challenge. View of falls was limited due to swimmers ability to swim the narrow gorge's current. Overall, one of Dominca's better tourist destinations.
  • So cold but so good!
  • Was great!
  • A warm stream joins the cold flow of a river in a pool at the exit of a narrow gorge with sheer sides of black rock. Swim upstream about 60 metres through the gorge to reach a small but powerful waterfall where you can dive in to a deep pool, with the sunlight filtered through rainforest 10 metres above. If makes a beautiful and refreshing way to end the walk from the boiling lake, or a respite from the afternoon heat if you're in the area.
