Champagne Beach, Roseau
(3.9/5 based on 360+ reviews on the web)
Snorkel or scuba dive at Champagne Beach. Named after the gas bubbles that rise from the volcanic floor to the water's surface, the beach is a popular diving spot with rich marine life. Swim and explore the crystal clear waters of Champagne Reef, dive among the bubbles, and see many colorful species such as lobsters, seaturtles, seahorses, octopuses, and giant crabs. Take a walk on the black sand shore, but remember to bring suitable footwear to protect from the rocky volcanic beach. Work out when and for how long to visit Champagne Beach and other Roseau attractions using our handy Roseau trip itinerary maker.

  • While the shoreline is rocky and a little more difficult to get in the water, it is worth it. And the "champagne" bubbles are amazing. The fish are plentiful and the water is amazing.
