Emerald Pool Nature Trail, Morne Trois Pitons National Park

(4.1/5 based on 320+ reviews on the web)
Take the Emerald Pool Nature Trail through the thick, wild rainforest to reach a shimmering rock pool at the base of a cascading waterfall. The pool sparkles emerald green in color while surrounded by overhanging trees, lush vegetation, and mountain views. The waterfall stands 12 m (40 ft) high, and the pool is more than deep enough for a swim, so bring your bathing suit. To reach the waterfall, you'll take an easy, 30-minute hike from the main road. The spot offers a relaxing ambience and is a quiet spot most of the time, except when cruise ships visit. • Went here as part of a cruise tour. Was worth the time and effort. Beautiful falls into the pool with a large cavern in the face behind the falls. There are a moderate number of steps down and up to g...  more »
  • The worst disappointment of the tour to the Caribbean. Describes how I wonder how wonderful, but this is ridiculous. I was expecting a nice pond, with normal banks that leave your clothes and go for a swim, and instead after a walk up and down not quite comfortable you are in front of a pool as big as half of a hotel pool, with the water scuretta because of light in the rainforest it passes little, all surrounded by reefs virtually inaccessible and with a lineup of stone so slippery to risk seriously fractured. Mavaffa is the only thought that came to mind before taking a photo at a fast and back. Beautiful rainforest but the much celebrated puddle is a cag ...
