  • The Boiling Lake and the Valley of Desolation are off-limits until further notice. Due to the rainfall that occurred at the end of hurricane season, the Lake is cold and part of its water is retracted into the Earth, but it bit there is a violent emanations of gas and acid water (roughly... from what I understand of the explanations...) at any time. Anyway we could not access it, to our despair... it was the hike to do! Do not hesitate to contact the visitros centers to find out whether or not it is accessible again.

  • A must do while on Dominica! An amazing trail with great views! Boiling Lake and the Valley of Desolation were such a neat things to see! Would highly recommend a guide!
  • Varied way, rewarding views. We were traveling with a guide - Sebastian (German). Although the way is mostly easy to find, we were glad to have him, because he knew much and where the road repeatedly changes by storm or rubble, we were glad to know him on our side.
