  • Outside the building is impressive. It is an annex of the old library and is very nice. Inside, it is worth taking a look. The cafeteria has hammocks outside and is great to lie down and rest a while enjoying the views.

  • See this structure from the water as you cruise the canals and marvel at its amazingly striking architecture.
  • A visit to the black diamond one should begrudge it if you appreciate the exciting architecture and historic surroundings. From the outside, the building seems a bit menacing and impervious to the black glass facades, but this black colossus is located on the waterfront, surrounded by old red-brick buildings from the CHR. 4 Copenhagen, the combination of the colors black, red and blue channels gives a total experience that is exciting. Inside the building experienced a light and friendly atmosphere that large in great contrast to the reserved exterior.

  • The library is free entry without a library card (some parts anyway) and it serves as a good place to rest your legs and review your map on where to go next. The place has great architectural design, definitely photo-ready for some selfie shots both inside and outside of the building. Just remember to bring a coat if you plan on walking outside, as the wind can get quite chilly blowing from the river.
  • Fascinating contrast of classical Danish architecture and an exercise in modern minimalism. Very nice place for work, both inside and out, with a nice atmosphere.
  • The royal Danish library colloquially known as the Black Diamond; is well-known in Copenhagen for its architecture and because of its free public facility’s, namely the two very big reading/study halls that are available for public use and very well regarded among students. The buildings design is beautiful, both inside as well as on the inside.
  • Very nice library, fantastic library also known as the black diamond. Good place for a coffee meeting with friends.
  • Good place to study but there are no good places to get coffee except paying 40 kr. for a cup in the café
