  • The old town hall building on the Cathedral square is the seat of the Skovgaard Museum. The museum displays works by Joachim Skovgaard and his family, and in the basement to get insight into al fresco technique which was used in the 5 years it took to make one of the world's finest Church decorations. Right now there's a nice photo exhibition of its residents in giant images, supplemented with their life and career. Beautiful paintings from the moors of His Smidth completes. Yes, Viborg is worth a visit right now.

  • The Museum's location is-in view of its focus on the Skovgaard family's artistic members-in a sense, unsurpassed. On the other hand, some believe that the Museum's main person still is Joakim Skovgaard. It is hardly the case, the perspective is extended to several members of the family and their artistic production can be seen in context with other artists. For example, in the recently completed exhibition "Italy's light", but also in e.g. pottery.

  • a small but intriguing museum of the Skovgaard family counts several artists. There was a special exhibition "in Italy's light", which in itself was worth a visit. Worth sacrificing time on when you are in Viborg or nearby.

  • Good exhibit and interesting descriptions of the art. But not easy accessible for the elderly.
  • Nice art, with the possibility for children's activities. Also interactive art

  • It is a great and lovely place to come, I come there often. Harmonious building, good framework, which can be used for wide culture. And can even be continuing in the Cathedral.
