  • Exciting visit at the Temple in Sorø in the context of 2018. Amazing light show throughout the city, even though it was a little rough this evening.

  • A nice sizeable Church, especially after the country's size. With history dating back to/from the year 1220. Where the Kings lie buried, and many other famous Danes. Exciting because we haven't removed everything after the Reformation, inter alia. the cross is still there. It's really worth reading the small guides located just inside the entrance door, exciting reading, k when you walk around and see the different sections in the Church. Read, among other things. about when the monks were enraged when Bishop Absalon moved Queen Margrethe d. 1 chest from the monastery church to the Roskilde Cathedral.

  • An exciting place to visit with several connections to our hometown. It is here in Sorø Klosterkirke as Absalon vilar, who was then Archbishop of Lund was ärkesäte for the North and Denmark's ecclesiastical centre. Margareta Valdemarsdotters son Olof rests there too. He was buried first in the Lund Cathedral but his remains were later moved to Sorø. And it was here in Sorø that Peder Winstrup went to school. He became Denmark's last and the first bishop of Lund and rests now in the Northern Tower of Lund Cathedral. So the links between Sorø and Lund are many and for those who are interested in the history of Lund, it is interesting to make a visit in Sorø.
