Skagen Bunkermuseum, Skagen
(3.6/5 based on 20+ reviews on the web)
Skagen Bunker Museum is a private museum near the tip of Grenen in the far north of Jutland, Denmark. It is located in an old German bunker of the Regelbau 638 type which was used during the Second World War as an infirmary for treating wounded soldiers. It is now fitted out as a small museum with uniforms, weapons and other artifacts.DescriptionLocated close to the spot where the Sand Worm transports passengers to the end of Skagen Odde, a German bunker has been converted into a small war museum. It was established in 2008 by Martin Nielsen and Christian Forman Hansen. Although it is fitted out as an infirmary, it was apparently never used as such. It does nevertheless provide a good introduction to the German bunkers along the west coast of Jutland. The museum is open every day from April to October, usually from 11 am to 4 pm but from 10 am to 5 pm in the high season.

  • At our hotel we call was to visit, among other things. Bunker Museum at Skagen, it was a good experience, it is not Denmark's scale helicopter museum, but it is good, the kids thought it was interesting, it also may be recommended as a little adventure when one now anyway are in Skagen.

  • We found this interesting to see how a concrete dugout looks like. It was meant for tanking care of sick soldiers but also for living.
  • The bunker was used as a kind of first aid, so it has some typical characteristics of those of the first line and then, in my opinion, it penalizes the interest. Much of the above is for a general representation of the second world war; only a diorama and a series of photos help to rebuild the local situation.

  • This is very close to the Grenen so if you go there, it's worth taking a look at this. The museum is in a bunker, and has some WII stuff
  • Not much to see.
  • They have an mp44
  • Was over with the family today and paid 140 us $. For 2 adults and 2 children after 5 min was all seen and read and then we spent 5 more to see if there was something we had overlooked .... it was not extortion/tourist trap of the worst kind ...
