  • must be a must on a visit around Silkeborg, sailing trip from Silkeborg is just stunningly beautiful, the ride up to the top is a little tough, with young children or impaired, it is better to run there in the car, really good playground for the little ones, ideal for a picnic under the large trees on the lawns in summer,

  • If you are tourist in Denmark you have to visit the "Heaven-mountain". You can go to Silkeborg and sail with "Hjejlen" all the way to Himmelbjerget - and then walk to the top.  more »
  • There are plenty of leisure facilities in and around himmelbjerget. For children there is a play universe with a mini version of Sky mountain Tower.

  • Sky mountain! One of the tallest sites in Denmark but certainly the best to visit. Playground, great view, a tower, ice cream and a restaurant. Parking fee is very low and you can visit the tower for about 1 euro
  • "Himmelbjerget" (Sky mountain) is the name of this hill, which is just 147 meters above sea level. On "Himmelbjerget" is built a tower alias "Himmelbjergtårnet". From both the hill and tower the visitors get stunningly beautiful views also in direction Silkeborg about 15 km away. "Himmelbjerget" is worth a visit all-year round! From May until September it is also possible to sail with coaches from Silkeborg and Ry among others to the jetty bridge below "Himmelbjerget" and climb the hill. Note! The ascent is not recommended for people with heart problems.
  • A lovely place that is a beautiful place to visit and have a look. I love the view and i visit once a year when we are in Denmark
  • Great area for outdoor sports, with sights, small hills and vegitation. Himmelbjerget it self is just a small part of it.
  • It's a great view but it's not social enough for a 5 star
