  • We visited this museum beginning in August. It is built on the sea around the reconstruction of several found the Viking boats, cleaned and so restored. The Museum starts with workshops that show the reconstitution of these ships. There is also a port with the Drakkar and other ships replenished. You can sail aboard (activities in addition to the ticket that is really worth the cost - an hour of ride.) To finish a building built around the ships. There are also exhibits on life at this time. Opportunity for children to dress up. A museum to do from my point of view when you're at the Denmark.

  • Interesting rooms - one is set up as an old classroom, some of the children in the photos don't look too happy! Didn't know Royal Copenhagen was formerly Aluminia. Would have been excellent score but ...  more »
  • This is a small museum run by local volunteers. It is cute and interesting if you are interested in history. It has pictures and tools, and cards explaining what, who and how. All the explanations are...  more »

  • You MUST go there! It is fairly easy to get there from Copenhagen by train (great train services) and from the train station, it is a nice walk of about 20 minutes (you'll have to cross a nice park and then go through a residential area). The gift shop is amazing (could not resist) and I do recommend a tour with a guide. Next to the museum, you will see in Summer some workshops for kids and... adults! All related to the Vikings. Also, you will have many places to have a bit, or just a drink. I had the BEST beer ever there, from a local microbrewery (see the pic). I LOVE that place and I will return for sure next time I go to Copenhagen!
  • Suprisingly, a very interesting local museum. They have a really bg kids area. If you are in town for visiting the church, don't miss this museum.
  • So interesting and great fun. Really hands on and good stuff for the kids. Entertained 3 adults too, free popcorn a nice bonus
  • Sweet people, outside eating. Food ok.
  • Quality foods at the cafe but equally high pricing.
