Must see · Zoo · Hidden Gem · Zoo / Aquarium
Explore tropical communities of African, Asian, and South American plants and animals at Randers Regnskov. Most of the animals live free under the zoo's three domes. Wander around an Asian temple, resembling the ruins of Cambodian Angkor Wat among a family of dwarf mongooses and harmless snakes. A saltwater aquarium features 75 species of tropical fish. Parents can relax in a cafe while their children play with white rabbits and miniature pigs at a petting zoo. Buy some refreshments, and have a picnic in the park, or taste a homemade buffet of traditional Danish food in the restaurant. • What an awesome day out! So many different animals which were able to roam free in the three large domes. Was pleasantly surprised with how much wildlife we saw. Service was impeccable from the staff....  more »
  • Visited here with my 4 children. It's a great idea that it flows freely compared to other zoos where things are behind cages. For example, don't be surprised to find a massive African Butterfly...  more »
  • Very nice place, there's a lot to see. While it was a bit crowded in the beginning, diminishing the fun, it got less crowded in the afternoon. I didn't like the restaurant and the three biospheres seem a tad small once you're inside but all in all good fun.
  • Excellent place to visit. Great atmosphere. Night zoo and the snake room stood out. In the afternoon it was not so crowded. Really enjoyed it
  • Crowded, but well worth the visit. Especially if you can make it during the later part of the day. Thumbs up for cheap ice cream and convenient EV charging.
  • Loved the place. Very hot and humid in the snake section. The rest is doable. Don't dress up to warm or with layers. My 7 years old son had the chance to walk around freely. It's very easy to keep track of kids. If they have respect for the animals, they'll see them getting very close. My toddler loved to see the snakes from up close.
  • A very well-kept zoo in the middle of the city. I personally have a friend who works there as an animal keeper and they are really passionate about what they do there. My favourite is the aquarium with giant prehistoric fish.
