A beautiful september morning in high Sun, green grass, many trees and well-kept red buildings, but a sad historical background. The camp contains in addition an after school many different museums, we had chosen to view the Frøslev Camp Museum belonging to the National Museum. To be paid an entrance to get into the Museum, but you can wander around in the area for free. The camp was active from 1944 to 1945 as a German internment camp for Danish and came about by Danish assistance to prevent the Danish was sent to Kz in Germany and the Danes got the Germans to accept that their accommodation for the Danes, so hunger seemed stood not. A total of approximately 12000 prisoners was through the camp and hence was approximately 1600 against all agreement sent to kz in Germany! The Museum consists of 1 guard tower and buildings H4 and H6 which has many good exhibitions and spaces are partially maintained as originally. Very exciting and at the same time sad, but you should see the camp and may thus help to such a thing does not happen again. Recommended for all, however, should probably have adults with children to explain what they see.show original
