Very good for children to play. It's a lovely place when children can play a lot with beautiful stuff and costumes. It doesn't make sense to have the parents to pay. I understand it's a family experie...  more »

A nice place for slightly older children, over 4 years ... There are many stairs and can be a little hard to get around with less children.

I spent a whole day (7 hours) at the Museum with my daughters at 5 and 9. The Museum provides the framework for countless hours of play with small shops, caves and fairy scenery, children themselves can fill out with their imaginations. There is, moreover, also a very fine crafts room where you can freely draw and sculpt. When the entrance fee is paid is all activities free of charge. Packed lunches can be included, but it is also possible to go out to eat, and return on the same ticket. A model of great museum for children.

Where to stay in Odense

Variety is no problem when searching for a place to stay in Odense, the birthplace of Hans Christian Anderson. The city is a transportation hub for the rest of the island, and many of its sights can be seen by foot or bicycle no matter which neighborhood you choose to stay in. There is no shortage of hotels here, though it is more expensive to stay in the city center. For more affordable options, look outside the center, or if you want a prime location, a basic hostel in the city center. If you prefer a more personalized experience, the city boasts a number of guesthouses and family-owned bed and breakfasts.
