  • A "role" in the middle of a beautiful park. The sculpture is small, but worth seeing if you're in the Park.

  • It's a sweet little sculpture in a lovely park. If you enjoyed reading Andersen's stories, the sculptures around town will bring back many good memories. But this is not the same kind of must-see as Mi...  more »
  • Behind Odense Cathedral in H? C. Andersen Park you will find the "Paper boat" in the middle of the Odense Å, simple and fun sculpture, we should view it from multiple page not just from the bridge. A folded papirbåd in matte stainless steel. It was purchased to Odense in 1984, the artist is Erik Heide. This boat is actually a copy of the original which was created as a memento of the ferry service to and from the mother's and is made of Corten steel and looks almost rustrød off the is behind Morsø Tourist at mother's. A fun sculpture which makes one happy.

  • The Paper Boat is made by the Danish sculpture Erik Heide. It represent the paper boat from Hans Christian Andersen fairytale, The Steadfast Tin Soldier. The Tin Soldier it found by two boys whom make a paper boat from a newspaper and put The Tin Soldier in it to sail along the gutter.
  • Just a pretty little thing out in the river when you're visiting the park. Keep an eye out, there are statues here and there by and in the water.
  • Nice to see if you're in the area, but not very special.

Where to stay in Odense

Variety is no problem when searching for a place to stay in Odense, the birthplace of Hans Christian Anderson. The city is a transportation hub for the rest of the island, and many of its sights can be seen by foot or bicycle no matter which neighborhood you choose to stay in. There is no shortage of hotels here, though it is more expensive to stay in the city center. For more affordable options, look outside the center, or if you want a prime location, a basic hostel in the city center. If you prefer a more personalized experience, the city boasts a number of guesthouses and family-owned bed and breakfasts.
