May be recommended for families. The Museum is really good for kids because you can see the old wagons and go into them. Running a train around the Museum, one can take with. Danish railway museum can definitely be recommended.

Great museum with much rolling stock tells the Danish railway history. Good informative texts (also in German and English). The contract is reasonable. There is a fine small museum shop. The Café has a limited, boring selection to something bordering on unfair prices.

Really nice museum, a lot of fun for kids (playground, mini train rides)!

Fun for all children of all ages, not a big museum, so two hours is enough.

Fun place, with trains. Not so big though

Definitely one of the best indoors activities in town.

Quaint museum telling the history of the Danish railway. You can see (and enter) many different historic train carriages and there is a mini train for kids. Good for families.

Where to stay in Odense

Variety is no problem when searching for a place to stay in Odense, the birthplace of Hans Christian Anderson. The city is a transportation hub for the rest of the island, and many of its sights can be seen by foot or bicycle no matter which neighborhood you choose to stay in. There is no shortage of hotels here, though it is more expensive to stay in the city center. For more affordable options, look outside the center, or if you want a prime location, a basic hostel in the city center. If you prefer a more personalized experience, the city boasts a number of guesthouses and family-owned bed and breakfasts.
