  • Us here recently told that the Cathedral is always with two turrets. Interesting observation! From this point of view, a point of interest, referred to, is the Church. The outside is beautiful. Inside, probably too good, but it is possible to visit to 17:00. We are able to constantly.

  • The Interior is like many others, with white walls. Remarkable Romanesque altar frontal stone altar and a baptismal font. The crypt has nothing interesting.

  • The Saint-Knud Cathedral is in the Gothic style. Its crypt contains coffins glass, where you can see skeletons.

  • Beautiful church with a great history behind it.
  • View from outside is more interesting than inside.
  • A must for everybody interested in churches and take your time to visit the crypt.
  • St. Canute's Cathedral (Danish: Odense Domkirke or Sct. Knuds Kirke), also known as Odense Cathedral, is named after the Danish king Canute the Saint (Danish: Knud den Hellige), otherwise Canute IV. It is a fine example of Brick Gothic architecture. The church's most visited section is the crypt where the remains of Canute and his brother Benedict are on display. Worth visiting when you are in town.
  • Beautiful architecture. The organ's sound is just amazing.

Where to stay in Odense

Variety is no problem when searching for a place to stay in Odense, the birthplace of Hans Christian Anderson. The city is a transportation hub for the rest of the island, and many of its sights can be seen by foot or bicycle no matter which neighborhood you choose to stay in. There is no shortage of hotels here, though it is more expensive to stay in the city center. For more affordable options, look outside the center, or if you want a prime location, a basic hostel in the city center. If you prefer a more personalized experience, the city boasts a number of guesthouses and family-owned bed and breakfasts.
