Rubjerg Knude, Lokken
(4.8/5 based on 220+ reviews on the web)
Rubjerg Knude stands as an abandoned lighthouse on the coast of the North Sea. Moving sands have begun to gradually bury the lighthouse, and it is expected to fall into the sea by 2023. There are paths around the lighthouse where you can hike, jog, or even bike. Be sure to wear appropriate clothing and protect your camera equipment as powerful winds can sometimes blow the sand quite strongly. • Natural world class! This is intended to run after. We took a Sunday here. So beautiful sand dunes! Unbelievable what nature has created! Look up the old lighthouse. This is free!

  • from this year, you can get up in the lighthouse so if you want to have a good view and see how nature takes over the quiet and calm so you must take off and see it before nature completely take tover as it lies close to the North Sea, then blows it much so it is best to do it on a hot summer day

  • We braved the storm and wandered up to the lighthouse, half closing our eyes. But it was worth it! Sand flew over the dunes, the waves roared far down there and it was howling in the lighthouse. Difficult to keep balance at times but the experience is incomparable. Can be a tough walk up in the sand but does it, the views and the experience is worth it.

  • Amazing scenery with the vast sand dunes and the abandoned lighthouse viewing the ocean. Don't forget to bring water on warm days as it gets quite hot and there is no possibly to purchase refreshments at the lighthouse.
  • Huge sand dunes near the West coast of Denmark. Absolutely worth a visit, not the least to also see the lighthouse.
  • If you are in the vicinity - absolutely see - really fascinating!
  • Very beautiful nature. What a view. Great to 'sail' down from the sanddunes. Amazing!
  • A brilliant views one on the dune. The way worth it for young and old. You can experience nature up close. Two years ago, we were ever at the lighthouse. There, he was a sanded to 90%. Today, he was again laid bare. The signs to the parking lot with the dates of the Sandlinjen are frightening.
