  • I would recommend that you get a guide with which can tell the story of the Cisternene. It is an interesting and entertaining story for children and adults.

  • Sur Finch stood and sold tickets, but it stopped us now not. We took the trip down stairs, into the dark and slightly chilly damp heavy air hit us, because we had carefully dried shoes free of miscellaneous had our eyes also become accustomed to the darkness, for there were really dark, not in any way creepy, but in such a way that we felt to miss out on the whole. It would have been appropriate if there had been gentle spot lights so we could at least see the contours of the beautiful and exciting edifice. Annoying that kids had something that looked like Chinese Red rislamper they swung merrily with, who disappeared some of immersion, but ok the kids would be bored to death if they were not equipped with a little entertainment. A must see place-with an exciting story in the backpack we went away well satisfied

  • For me, the visit of this installation was absolutely stunning. I can recommend it to anyone, who can engage in dark, cool and underground place. The smell of fresh pine wood of the boardwalks is one already at the entrance. Further, you are a step in the cooling cistern. I recommend something long to cover in any case. The path through the cistern is designed on the boardwalks. You should not talk is, on the one hand, and on the other hand, because below very sound to absorb the atmosphere of the installation. Time you are down so long stay as you want. Have fun!

  • I love cisterns - the one in Istanbul is absolutely stunning, for instance. This one is OK - it has that underground atmosphere, but there's not much else (some historical background is provided though). Surrounding park is really pretty.
  • Tucked away under a glass pyramid in a park, The Cisterns are a chilly insight into the past. When we visited in May 2016 the "corridors" were illuminated by candles and the videos from the art installation currently making use of the unique location. Not something that would necessarily be an obvious place to visit when on holiday but definitely worth checking out, particularly as entry is included in the Copenhagen Card. The installations change over time but I'd say it's worth a visit anyway just for the architecture. If it's a hot day I'd recommend taking a jumper with you as it's pretty chilly underground.
  • We've had mixed feelings about this place. On the one hand the Cisterns provide a very special atmosphere on the other hand the exhibition (Eva Koch - That Dream of Peace) we saw didn't really meet our expectations as we expected slightly more content, but probably we just didn't understand it right. Generally you should be prepared that water still gets into the Cisterns, so there some smaller and bigger water puddles, therefore wearing sandals may not be the best idea. Also the temperature fluctuates between 16°C in August and 4° in February, so you may want to take warmer clothes down there.
  • It's a average experience and and above average price. Not very special.
  • A wonderful setting and gallery. It's beautifully and cleverly done and lit with candles to create a lovely atmosphere. Over the road from the zoo and well worth the visit
