  • Hi when the castle is located in the vicinity of our hotel, we should also see this sight and it was a nice experience too because we first saw dronninglund Castle zom now is a hotel and restaurant, so when we saw voergaard Castle, we must admit that it was a real castle with moat and it all we could unfortunately not enter us view the Castle since it was closed they say otherwise, it is like entering a time warp where everything stands as in the old days it will be a second time. • A castle, with moats. A ghost. History. A great collection of art and collectibles. A fantastic guide. A medieval market with food, entertainment, activities and stalls. A wonderful fine day on Voergaard Slot.

  • There awaited us an experience beyond the ordinary when we participated in the medieval days at the Palace. Superb and very authentic and very different and delicious food. The surroundings are very beautiful and a look inside at the castle itself is a must.

  • This was also a nice day - and the happening takes place for a week. A lot to see, also how things were done practically in the old times. A lot of activities and demonstrations. Bring your own food, or buy there - the soup and sausages were yummy.
  • Around 450 km from Copenhagen but Worth the drive. What a gem for all to enjoy, beautiful classic architecture without a doubt!
  • This is where my 3rd great grandparents met; Ole Christian Kragh was a blacksmith and Ane Kierstine Jensdatter was a house servant. Beautiful place.
  • A beautiful castle, with a moat, built around 1500 AD. We got a nice tour of the castle interior by a merry and knowledgable guide named Alice. Tons of artwork and history here. Too bad we didn't visit the castle next week when an annual medieval festival is taking place. Our guide told us that around 30.000 people would attend!
  • Nice slot and really good medieval market
