  • I really liked it! Not too big, about 2-2.5 hours you can walk, but you can't get bored. Interesting and spectacular. We can only recommend to everyone who is a little too interested in the animal world.

  • Nice exhibition of many animal bones, and figures of animals from all over the world. You can also touch some of the furs!
  • Overall I'm not too enthusiastic about this museum. Some stuff is definitely interesting and worth seeing, such as a huge dinosaur bone or extinct animal's skeletons but there is also something on display that I felt was quite disturbing and disgusting like a whale's fetus, meh. But my main gripe with this museum (besides that it's not that big) is the fact that most areas of it are very, very dark so unless you own a high-end camera it pretty much makes no sense to take pictures at all.
  • Could use English signs. Many parts are missing English. Otherwise it's really a nice activity for children and even toddlers for 2 hours.
  • Excellent exhibition, fun for adults and children. Very interesting specimens on display. Expect to spend at least 2 hours if you want to get a nice overview of most things. You could easily spend a whole day.
  • Plenty to see, and an impressive collection of specimens. Some of the older exhibits only have signs in Danish, but most also have English.

Where to stay in Copenhagen

Most of the hotels in Copenhagen are located in the central Vesterbro or hip Indre By areas, though there are many more adventurous (and somewhat more affordable) places to stay during your vacation. As in the rest of Denmark, accommodations in Copenhagen are quite expensive. If you're traveling on a tight budget, consider camping along the Mølleå River or staying in one of the city's many backpacker hostels. If you prefer an inexpensive hotel, explore options in the Helgolandsgade and Colbjørnsensgade neighborhoods. For a taste of Denmark's art scene, head to the up-and-coming Kongens Nytorv and Nyhavn areas. Travelers who like to stay outside of the main tourist areas should set their sights on one of the city's suburbs, like the northern section where you can stay at a beachfront hotel or on a houseboat.
