  • I come often at Work the Museum and every time one can experience I my life in the permanent exhibitions. The children's Museum is also a good Working experience when I have grandkids with.

  • It tells you a little history of the work, but they set it very well. You put the example of any family, and teach you como.vivian in every age. Your House, your toys, clothes, etc, so it is interesting. Also have a temporary "stop slavery" expo, but most is only in Danish... Very interesting Museum

  • It costs 75 € per ticket, but there are also 3 spacious floors with many different opportunities to acquaint themselves with the Danish worker's history through time. Very instructive. We walked around for 3 hours, and could have used more time. There are a great many objects and scenarios that expresses the ages. There's even an area for kids, where they can try on old clothes, or play the grocery store with a real cash register. In the little café with a red chequered tablecloths, there's old books you can look in, while sipping a cup of really good coffee, or samples of coffee with rich's. In addition, you can get the biscuit cake, and it is just as heavy and delicious, as we remember it. Really worth a visit.

  • I loved this museum. They really put you in the shoes of the working class as it's changed since the early twentieth century up until today, and also touch on social issues while they're at it. A family who loves in Copenhagen for several decades and preserved their apartment donated it to the museum and you can see all of their appliances and even the decorations from their walls. A great way to experience history that is very recent and yet often feels worlds away due to the massive changes that took place during the last century.
  • A really interesting museum! I wasn't expecting too much from this, but it was fascinating! Great to see history from a different angle. It's over multiple floors and spread across lots of eras and rooms. There's even a flat that was donated by a woman and the items/wallpaper/doors have even been moved over into this building to recreate it. A great insight into someone's everyday life across the decades. The site itself had been bought by the worker's party and its history comes right up to the modern day. There's a small cafe where you can try food/drink from an earlier age. The shop is really good and has some really interesting items. Would be a good place for buying some unique holiday gifts!
  • We went here for a company event. The facilities are nice and the food was alright as well. The working-class vibe is present but not too on the nose
  • I was super excited to visit this museum, but it's very difficult for English only speakers. I'll also warn you, like many places in Denmark, it isn't air-conditioned.
  • A very interesting little museum. In what was workers accommodation and union meeting hall. Gives a superb insight into the everyday life of ordinary working families.

Where to stay in Copenhagen

Most of the hotels in Copenhagen are located in the central Vesterbro or hip Indre By areas, though there are many more adventurous (and somewhat more affordable) places to stay during your vacation. As in the rest of Denmark, accommodations in Copenhagen are quite expensive. If you're traveling on a tight budget, consider camping along the Mølleå River or staying in one of the city's many backpacker hostels. If you prefer an inexpensive hotel, explore options in the Helgolandsgade and Colbjørnsensgade neighborhoods. For a taste of Denmark's art scene, head to the up-and-coming Kongens Nytorv and Nyhavn areas. Travelers who like to stay outside of the main tourist areas should set their sights on one of the city's suburbs, like the northern section where you can stay at a beachfront hotel or on a houseboat.
