Have a glass of beer with your history lesson at Visit Carlsberg Brand Store. On the site of the original brewery founded in 1847 by industrialist J.C. Jacobsen, the visitor center is one of the city's major tourist attractions. Book a private guide to show you the city's blend of history, beer, and architecture. You can also explore the old brewery on your own, starting at the center's ticket store. From there, proceed along the designated route to see the biggest collection of unopened beer bottles in the world, as well as a sculpture garden featuring a small replica of the famous mermaid sculpture Jacobsen donated to his city. • What else than having a free beer at 10am? Friendly staff members in the store shop. We were asking for another beer to taste too. So good fun to pet the huge horses. Absolutely worth a visit.  more »

  • Again, the Copenhagen Card allows free entry, so it was worth a visit. Unfortunately it is a bit tricky to find as there was a LOT of construction around and the signs leading to the museum are not...  more »

  • Ive done some of the best distillery/brewery tours around and this stacks up well. Easy to find and navigate and the information was of a decent level. Not quite as good as the Guinness tour in Dublin but not bad! Great little bar and gift shop at the end which definitely adds to the experience.
  • It was a unique experience for me to know about the history of Beer and understand the process of making the beer. I personally liked the area where they showcased beers from different countries around the world. Including a beer into the tour price was a great way to end the tour. Being a fan and a consumer of Carlsberg over the years, I could say for sure the freshly brewed beer I had during the tour was the best Carlsberg I ever had. Truly a wonderful experience.
  • We did the tour which cost DK100. You get a 'free' beer and gift (which you can exchange for another beer if you like) The museum is all about the history of Carlsberg rather than actual beer making. The setting is very pretty. On a nice day you can sit outside and enjoy your beer. We also had a free 15 minute horse ride. You can visit the bar and outside area for free and then just pay for your beer if you prefer.
  • IF you have a student ID, bring it. The prices are now higher and ONLY ONE drink ticket is included. The beer up in the pub is limited, but delicious. DO try the hot dogs and other grill food if you can. Large and delicious orders for the hungry masses. Recommend the guided beer tasting, if you have time and $. The museum has not changed in many years, but the store is brand new.
  • A really good opportunity to learn about the history of the Carlsberg brand as a whole. You can taste a range of beers and the ticket comes with 2 beer vouchers. I would definitely recommend eating - I had the best burger of my life here. Drinking upstairs in the bar/restaurant is a must. The beer tasting paddle is excellent.
