Set some time aside for fun and games at Tivoli Gardens, the second-oldest amusement park in the world. Established in 1843, the park sits in the heart of the city and offers not only traditional amusement rides and carnival games, but also flower gardens, food pavilions, and open-air shows. The most-visited amusement park in Scandinavia, this large venue attracts the majority of its visitors after dusk, when the lights come on and the area becomes one big stage for a range of cultural activities. Be sure to try a few roller coaster rides, but leave plenty of time for a show at the park's world-famous pantomime theater, built in the 1870s by celebrated architect Vilhelm Dahlerup. Also there, H.C. Anderson Statue. To visit Tivoli Gardens on your holiday in Copenhagen, and find out what else Copenhagen has to offer, use our Copenhagen.

  • Was nice to visit but you have to pay to get in and then pay for rides so a bit odd. It was nice to wander around and sit in the deck chairs. Lots of variety of restaurants. Go in the morning it...

  • Beautiful gardens in Copenhagen city center rides for small children and adults. Restaurants, fast food, candy shops and gift stores. Seasonal decorations for Easter, Christmas and Halloween. You can also bring your own lunch and beverages. This is a must see place for locals and tourists. Also there is a concert hall here and theater.
  • I brought a sibling here, and they loved it. I enjoyed it myself here as well. It's a very beautiful amusement park and I loved how it was connected to the food hall which has a variety of great food options. The staff were really kind and I believe it's safe to say that this is a must visit for everyone especially families. It's also very nicely located literally being in front of Copenhagen Central Station. I will definitely come back!
  • Love this place. I came here a couple of years ago in my own and really liked the atmosphere, but I didn't go on any rides. This time I came with my wife, and we both loved it. Lots of restaurants, rides and amusements. There are rides that are great for adults and kids. I recommend staying for the light show at the end or the fireworks on Saturday... although i see the fireworks from outside and they were amazing.
  • This place is amazing. You can see how it inspired Walt Disney. You can walk around to enjoy the fine food and gardens without riding a ride. The food is high quality, not fast food. The shops are as nice as the ones found in town. As for the rides, the views from the tall swings are amazing. The ride on the old rollercoaster is fun and quite historic. The park changes clothes at night :-)
  • One of the best places I’ve been to. The aesthetics are unmatched. We went around Halloween and the decor was amazing and majestic. The rides are a must do and the food is also amazing. At night it looks even more glamorous
