Set some time aside for fun and games at Tivoli Gardens, the second-oldest amusement park in the world. Established in 1843, the park sits in the heart of the city and offers not only traditional amusement rides and carnival games, but also flower gardens, food pavilions, and open-air shows. The most-visited amusement park in Scandinavia, this large venue attracts the majority of its visitors after dusk, when the lights come on and the area becomes one big stage for a range of cultural activities. Be sure to try a few roller coaster rides, but leave plenty of time for a show at the park's world-famous pantomime theater, built in the 1870s by celebrated architect Vilhelm Dahlerup. Also there, H.C. Anderson Statue. To visit Tivoli Gardens on your holiday in Copenhagen, and find out what else Copenhagen has to offer, use our Copenhagen.

We heard this was the theme park that gave Walt Disney himself the inspiration, so we decided to go and what a blast it was! We arrived at 5 pm and really felt like that was the perfect time. We were.... more »

I spent Ney Year's Eve there. Honestly, too overcrowded for a solo traveller. But some places are just awesome: the light show with Chaikovsky's music, the mosque, the lakes... But, I just thought... more »

I great place to have fun with family, friends or even only with yourself, for all ages, there are good restaurants and little huts where you can purchase souvenirs or a good hot chocolate during this winter time, I just went there two weeks ago and was like a fairy tale place!! There are toilets all over the park for those who need one constantly (like me) if you buy the all inclusive ticket just make sure you are really going to get on all the different attractions so at least is worth the while! If your heart is delicate, I highly recommend to take only pictures from the ground and eat some treats, because although those attractions might look inoffensive, trust me, they are not at all, they are real and ready to make you feel butterflies!

One of the finest places you find for everybody to have fun. It has a wide range of fun activities for everybody including families. If you're travelling alone, as a group or as a family there are plenty of activities for you. Specially if you like to have some thrilling experiences there are many adventures for you starting from roller coaster. And they have themes for different time periods/occasions, like when we were there it was Winter themed and most of the areas were decorated accordingly. There are many ticketing options/packages that you can buy according to your requirements from just enter pass to unlimited riding. Better to check their website while planning your visit and come prepared.

Loved it!! Amazingly beautiful Christmas decorations... Various options for smaller and bigger groups. Children just love being here... The Christmas and New Year fireworks are brilliant... Many options for eating also available... Very close to Copenhagen Central station.

Historic park in the middle of the city. I liked my visit so much. When I visited it was not busy, I had the luxury of strolling around and taking photos. The Arabic Palace was a highlight. As well as the pirates ship. Adults can have fun here, it is not exclusively for children. After all, we are all children at heart.
