Oresund Bridge, Copenhagen
(4.3/5 based on 1,400+ reviews on the web)
Drive or take a bus ride across Oresund Bridge, the longest cable-tied road and rail bridge in Europe. Spanning about 8 km (5 mi), the structure runs from the Swedish coast to an artificial island in the middle of the Oresund Sound. An underwater tunnel completes the crossing to the other side of the sound, linking the metropolitan areas of Copenhagen and Malmo. The bridge consists of two railway tracks and four road lines supported by tall concrete towers that allow 57 m (187 ft) of headroom for ships passing beneath the structure. Avoid long delays on the bridge by checking current traffic and weather conditions before you hit the road. • A piece of engineering really impressive, but difficult to admire if you move by public transport. The bus that takes you from Copenhagen to Malmö by the bridge leaves you far away from this, and have to walk hours to reach its base.

  • Do not go by train if what you want is to see the bridge, since it passes below and do not see anything of the. The good thing is how fast you can get from one country to another. If you decide to go by train there are two options from the Copenhagen central station, the more economic, in which you have to change train at the airport and the other a direct train, but I think that it is not worth paying more for the latter.

  • We took a leap in Malmoe, Sweden, to Copenhagen just to cross the bridge, by bus (because it is the only medium that allows you to admire it, beyond the self). The impression is not overwhelming and the price tag is a bit undeserved.

  • This bridge was fantastic. It was really expensive but as I only crossed it once, totally worth the price. I had a really positive experience being up so high above the ships and the windmills with the strong gusts rocking the car back and forth before eventually transitioning into a tunnel mid-crossing. Very cool!
  • Really beautiful bridge that connects to malmö sweden and copenhagen denmark. Its very impressive.but its very costly. Tollgate robbed us for 150 singapore dollar😜
  • Famous from the TV series the Bridge, the bridge connects Malmö with Copenhagen- the bridge has two decks with the trains traveling on the lower deck and vehicle's on the top deck. Quick and easy connection between two great cities.
  • Bad location. My family sat down at our table and got hit by a truck. Otherwise good service.
  • Amazing piece of engineering, we were surprised how long it took to cross to Sweden. Bucket list must do... an outstanding piece of civil engineering.
