  • I enjoyed visiting this museum. Possibilities of guided tours or visit by yourself. The admission price is just fine and the staff friendly. The tour took us about 1 h by visiting at our ease. The exhibition consists of different parts, a gathering of various parts of the human body which is the main (or even whole bodies for the part devoted to the fetus), the majority with diseases or deformities. A large pharmacy of era and a former audience are also visible, as well as various old medical instruments. I recommend to all who are interested in medicine, but watch out for the faint of heart.

  • The museum is small but well kept and organized. We arrived kind of late and were not able to join a tour but it was still interesting to take a look at the exhibit. The only thing I could not look at...  more »

  • This has got to be the best museum in Copenhagen! Especially fascinating is the exhibition called "The Body Collected" at which real body parts and organs used in medical research and studies are displayed. This place gives you a good insight on the past and present of medicine. I'd recommend having at least an hour and a half to spend here.
  • If you are interested in anatomy or the history of medical science this place is definitely worth a visit
  • One of the best experiences in Copenhagen! Especially if you love macabre stuff. The staff is super friendly and they did even show me the dentist room on the upper floor.
  • This surely is an interesting place! Enjoyed especially the preserved body parts. However, it did not took us more than an hour to pass through the exhibition. Furthermore, it does not differ that much from similar exhibitions in Berlin or Amsterdam.
  • much stuff in jars, very good, learn a lot, yes

Where to stay in Copenhagen

Most of the hotels in Copenhagen are located in the central Vesterbro or hip Indre By areas, though there are many more adventurous (and somewhat more affordable) places to stay during your vacation. As in the rest of Denmark, accommodations in Copenhagen are quite expensive. If you're traveling on a tight budget, consider camping along the Mølleå River or staying in one of the city's many backpacker hostels. If you prefer an inexpensive hotel, explore options in the Helgolandsgade and Colbjørnsensgade neighborhoods. For a taste of Denmark's art scene, head to the up-and-coming Kongens Nytorv and Nyhavn areas. Travelers who like to stay outside of the main tourist areas should set their sights on one of the city's suburbs, like the northern section where you can stay at a beachfront hotel or on a houseboat.
