  • Great magazines, comparable to our galleries Lafayette of boulevards, with in addition a panoramic view on the roof. I recommend

  • Go in Copenhagen and want to escape the rain or find something that you don't do the shops along Strøget. Then you should definitely try this department store!

  • This place is elegant, beautifully decorated with great stuff to buy. Staff are amazing, service is great. They are not pushy. I just loved the selection of goods. I loved selections of Danish goods. Also rooftop restaurant was amazing. Copenhagen is amazing and I love this department store! Must visit place!
  • Most exclusive department store in Copenhagen. Perfume department has a lot of smaller boutique manufacturers. Great restaurants on top floor. Eataly in the basement is a bit of a disappointment though.
  • A great luxury department store with the usual brands and suspects. The "rooftop" restaurants have a nice terrace that runs along the building. My favourite view was from the "Ordinary Coffee" coffee shop.
  • Modern & clean department store. Very good and convenient for shopping. Has restaurants on top. If you find a sale season, you can get a good deal!
  • Interesting building with a large selection. The products they sell range from "medium" to expensive. Go visit the rooftop restaurants, and enjoy quality food combined with a view.

Where to stay in Copenhagen

Most of the hotels in Copenhagen are located in the central Vesterbro or hip Indre By areas, though there are many more adventurous (and somewhat more affordable) places to stay during your vacation. As in the rest of Denmark, accommodations in Copenhagen are quite expensive. If you're traveling on a tight budget, consider camping along the Mølleå River or staying in one of the city's many backpacker hostels. If you prefer an inexpensive hotel, explore options in the Helgolandsgade and Colbjørnsensgade neighborhoods. For a taste of Denmark's art scene, head to the up-and-coming Kongens Nytorv and Nyhavn areas. Travelers who like to stay outside of the main tourist areas should set their sights on one of the city's suburbs, like the northern section where you can stay at a beachfront hotel or on a houseboat.
