This store sells expensive amber jewelry and has a few floors of amber above it entry if 50krper adult. Not a horrible stop if you have 50kr to spend  more »

The Museum is about a jewelry business. It is very small, but has some very nice and interesting amber pieces. The Copenhagen card, admission is free. So worth a visit, especially as a transit due to the size takes much time.

It is a place where to see numerous pieces of amber and including the largest piece drawn from that material, I believe that you weighed about 8 pounds. Amber medium/high-priced items can be purchased

It is a house with the Gift Shop at the lower flour and the museum upstairs (stiff stairs). Always crowded. Beautiful and expensive jewelry. You will find a thorough explanation about Amber. The house itself is very well located, next to the canal, where you can get food and drinks and enjoy the sunset. Some hotels offer discounts to visit the House, or even a free ticket. Ask your hotel staff.

The museum above was really interesting history on the building and Amber export in Denmark. The shop below had lots of beautiful items for sale.

Interesting, when you think you are looking at something produced "x number", million years ago, and what size of tree it took to produce The Largest piece in the world The museum is situated in a lovely part of the city

Small but interesting collection. Only about 10-15 mins but worth a visit if you already have a Copenhagen card and are passing.

Small museum, unfriendly staff, more interested to sell you amber than help you, forget about giving you more information.

Where to stay in Copenhagen

Most of the hotels in Copenhagen are located in the central Vesterbro or hip Indre By areas, though there are many more adventurous (and somewhat more affordable) places to stay during your vacation. As in the rest of Denmark, accommodations in Copenhagen are quite expensive. If you're traveling on a tight budget, consider camping along the Mølleå River or staying in one of the city's many backpacker hostels. If you prefer an inexpensive hotel, explore options in the Helgolandsgade and Colbjørnsensgade neighborhoods. For a taste of Denmark's art scene, head to the up-and-coming Kongens Nytorv and Nyhavn areas. Travelers who like to stay outside of the main tourist areas should set their sights on one of the city's suburbs, like the northern section where you can stay at a beachfront hotel or on a houseboat.
