  • Remembered only the world's largest piece of amber. This product is not outstanding, fun look at beetles inside the amber. And so this shop, and too expensive. Better for amber business in Lithuania

  • The museum is above a shop selling amber jewellery. It's in a very busy part of the city. There is an entry fee, but it's free if you have a Copenhagen Card. There are toilets in the museum--very usef...  more »
  • Go to every and any amber museum that you come across, most of these museums are small and/or attached to a retail sales shop. Some have maps, some have or show the different kinds from outside the Ba...  more »

  • It´s a tiny, but very interesting museum! There were some opening days with free entrance in February and we had the chance to see the massive collection of amber they have. It was great to observe how many insects were trapped in amber!
  • Small but interesting museum on the top two floors of a beautifully historic building. There is a room of amber "inclusions" containing magnified plants and insect trapped in amber. There is also science about amber formation and a room of treasures made of the same. Fun for a short visit while checking out Nyhavn. If you want to bring some home, the shop below has jewelry in all price ranges.
  • Small but impressive collection of amber, including the world's largest piece of amber. Aside from regular amber pieces they also have a beautiful collection of objects shaped from amber. Especially the amber with captured insects is fascinating!
  • Lady asked me: where are you from? My answer was: from Latvia. And the reason to visit, was to see the big piece of amber upstairs. But here are a lot of other interesting things to see. The coolest jewellery with amber I have ever seen!
  • A 2-room museum about amber. The world biggest and the biggest amber found in Denmark can be found inside. Below the museum is a shop for amber.
