Experience the history of Danish art at one of Copenhagen's "Park Museums," Hirschsprung Collection. The museum is based mostly around the personal art collection of Heinrich Hirschsprung, who donated his collection to Denmark in 1902. Most of the art comes from the 19th and 20th centuries, with famous works by Kobke, Kroyer, and Eckersberg. You'll progress through the Danish art periods, from the Golden Age to the Modern Breakthrough. The collection is housed in a small neoclassical building, which adds to the museum's atmosphere. • This art collection can be seen in the context of the combined museum ticket, and is really worth seeing. Plan you should 1 approx. 5 hours, to really enjoy it.

  • We've been on the Hirschsprungska many times, most recently at the exhibition "in the light", which puts the focus on some Danish and Norwegian artists ' meetings in Italy. Magically beautiful art with P S Kröyer as most famous names. Excellent, and free educational audio guide hung for those who so wish. The permanent exhibition of primarily Danish golden age is amazing. It is a pleasure of stay immersed in its work. Go there-often!

  • This was my first visit at the Hirschsprung collection, but it will certainly not be the last. Beautiful room which is filled with beautiful paintings. It is not very big, but I still spent more than two hours, I used the offer of a free audio guide, and it was really nice to get good background knowledge.
