  • I think for many attending Copenhagen tourists the city and generally associated with Denmark great storyteller, we all learn sooner than the name of his hometown and country. So Hans Christian Andersen monument monument on the town square is very appropriate. Photographed on his background everyone wants! Composition of the monument is such that allows children to climb on their knees storyteller that makes sculpture Andersen almost alive.

  • Beautiful statue of Christian Andersen looking toward Tivoli amusement park. A must see... has a few steps from the Town Hall.

  • A great man who wrote wonderful stories. It's nice to see him immortalized.
  • 1. Sit on his knee 2. Take a photograph 3. Share your adventure
  • That's a statue, nothing more. I kinda wonder why this one isn't Copenhagen's symbol, instead of the rather diminutive little mermaid...
  • it is a great statue
  • I had a pleasant stay. You could see and hear some of the stories Mr Andersen wrote. One negative thing was that the receptionist tried to make us go to the other museum too (there's another one in the building), and it seemed she was only after our money. But other than that, it was quite great. A bit small, but still not too small.
