(1/5 based on 120+ reviews on the web)
Hans Christian Andersen Place, or the fairy-tale house, will guide you through some universally known stories, such as the Emperor's New Clothes and Little Mermaid. The house features fiberglass figures arranged in a series of tableaux with lighting effects and a three-lingual sound system in Danish, English, and German. Visit the writer's study to hear him giving an account of his life and travels. Quiz questions on boxes and barrels make the exhibit more interesting for kids. The museum also features a handwritten manuscript and a collection of props and appliances that belonged to the writer. Admission is free with the Copenhagen Card. • A small Museum of the famous storyteller Andersen is next to the Town Hall square and Tivoli Gardens opposite. There is reproduced according to historical data, the Cabinet of the famous writer, which preserved some objects belonging to the author. Small room umestila in yourself bed, desk, stool and microwave, owned by the storyteller. Also in the Museum posted a great Gallery, which brought together all the works of the author, as well as illustrate. monument to them near the Museum fulfilled sculptor Henry Bows-Nielsen. Installed it in 1961 year almost a 100 years after the first monument project. I advise to visit the only museum lovers Andersen

  • This museum is nice if you're interested in the life of Andersen and a refresher would for the fairy tales that he has written. A number of popular fairy tales are read out in short with some animation. This is available in Danish, English and German. For children who cannot understand one of these three languages is not an interesting museum. The nearby Ripley Believe it or not museum on the other hand, though.

  • This museum took the poetic essence of the writer unlike the Odense Museum this is not limited to collect memorabilia but also developed the stories and then the child feels more involved.
