Hans Christian Andersen Place, Copenhagen

(1/5 based on 120+ reviews on the web)
Hans Christian Andersen Place, or the fairy-tale house, will guide you through some universally known stories, such as the Emperor's New Clothes and Little Mermaid. The house features fiberglass figures arranged in a series of tableaux with lighting effects and a three-lingual sound system in Danish, English, and German. Visit the writer's study to hear him giving an account of his life and travels. Quiz questions on boxes and barrels make the exhibit more interesting for kids. The museum also features a handwritten manuscript and a collection of props and appliances that belonged to the writer. Admission is free with the Copenhagen Card.
