  • Recommended! Impressive collection of French, Dutch and other art. Very pleasant surroundings. Admission price reasonable. Wasn't too crowded 10-13...bonus!!!  more »
  • This is the case when the building itself is a work of art. Nice walking along the magnificent halls to pay attention not only to the exhibits, but also to the patterns on the floor and hankies beautiful mural paintings and stucco ceilings. Very thoughtful. The impression that created it under collection, and didn't fill all and sundry mindlessly. I am absolutely not a fan of Egyptian mummies and the era, but as the same exceptional peredumano make an entrance in the Egyptian Hall tunnel, as if hit in a pyramid and look for moves, Bravo! In addition to the many sculptures of antiquity and more modern here so you can find the Danish paintings, a collection of French Impressionists, and Degas ' sculptures collection led by the beautiful ballerina. Returning to the atmosphere is worth a little time to give a patio with Palm trees and a pool with fish, and enjoy a coffee from the Café desertikom right there. In General, if you're not a big fan of art, but you need to check out at least one Museum without doubt Glyptotekets leader, National Museum very heavily loses, and generally very amateur medieval weapons and ammunition, the more you there's nothing to find.

  • One of the most beautiful collection of sculptures I've ever seen! The museum itself is a beautiful building outside and finished impeccably right down to the lockers and the bathrooms. We wish we had...  more »

  • Very nice cafe to sit and relax with a cup of coffee or quick meal when visiting Glyptoteket exhibition.
  • Beautiful place, fresh and good good, worth the price !
  • A bit of wait but the place is amazing and the food is great
  • The wait is terribly long on Sundays but once you've paid a fortune and you have your teeth in that amazing tart. . . You forget that you are on earth. So yes. I know your feet hurt and you've been in line for 30 min but suck it up. It's tasty.

Where to stay in Copenhagen

Most of the hotels in Copenhagen are located in the central Vesterbro or hip Indre By areas, though there are many more adventurous (and somewhat more affordable) places to stay during your vacation. As in the rest of Denmark, accommodations in Copenhagen are quite expensive. If you're traveling on a tight budget, consider camping along the Mølleå River or staying in one of the city's many backpacker hostels. If you prefer an inexpensive hotel, explore options in the Helgolandsgade and Colbjørnsensgade neighborhoods. For a taste of Denmark's art scene, head to the up-and-coming Kongens Nytorv and Nyhavn areas. Travelers who like to stay outside of the main tourist areas should set their sights on one of the city's suburbs, like the northern section where you can stay at a beachfront hotel or on a houseboat.
