Fisketorvet - Copenhagen Mall, Copenhagen

#4 of 28 in Shopping in Copenhagen
Shopping Mall Shopping
Fisketorvet - Copenhagen Mall features more than 120 shops and stores that sell clothes, shoes, accessories, home designs, electronics, supermarket goods, and fast food. The mall was named after the old fish market located at the same site from 1958 until 1999. Notice how the interior decoration features the "fish theme," with large metallic lamps and sculptures representing shoals of fish. Look for a large tropical fish tank near the kids play area. Amenities include 15 restaurants and cafes, as well as a cinema with 10 screens. Parking is free for 3 hours. • A huge mall with lots of the best stores in CPH and many buffet restaurants. In summertime you can find cheap street food outside, and get a tan nearby. The famous orange bike serpent bridge is next to this mall.
  • Really large mall. Great for shopping and eating. The best thing about it is it's right next to the water. On a hot day you can even go for a swim 🌊
  • Try Cyprus restaurant. They have very good food for little money. 99 Danish kroner eat the best food.
  • Good mix of stores makes it a good place for the entire family. Not as big as fields, but the location makes up for it. However the restaurant area is lacking variety, many buffets which looks like you've just made a copy / paste from the other ones.
  • Nice little shopping mall. Convenient with most options available. They should however try and emphasize on the fact, that they are the only mall located in the city center, rather than compete with suburban malls.

Where to stay in Copenhagen

Most of the hotels in Copenhagen are located in the central Vesterbro or hip Indre By areas, though there are many more adventurous (and somewhat more affordable) places to stay during your vacation. As in the rest of Denmark, accommodations in Copenhagen are quite expensive. If you're traveling on a tight budget, consider camping along the Mølleå River or staying in one of the city's many backpacker hostels. If you prefer an inexpensive hotel, explore options in the Helgolandsgade and Colbjørnsensgade neighborhoods. For a taste of Denmark's art scene, head to the up-and-coming Kongens Nytorv and Nyhavn areas. Travelers who like to stay outside of the main tourist areas should set their sights on one of the city's suburbs, like the northern section where you can stay at a beachfront hotel or on a houseboat.
