Chilimili Rådhuspladsen, Copenhagen

(3.2/5 based on 260+ reviews on the web)
Chilimili Rådhuspladsen serves as an important spot for the city, as it's a popular venue for demonstrations and street performances. City hall is the most notable building on the square; it was erected between 1892 and 1905 at the site of an old hay market. The square features many sculptures and fountains, including a statue of H.C. Andersen and a fountain depicting a fight between a bull and a dragon. Notice the rotating sculpture of a girl perched high on the Richs building, telling the weather. When the weather is clear the statue of a girl comes out with her bicycle, and when it is raining the girl holds an umbrella. • Square located on the top of the stroget and very close to the central station and Tivoli. We find the Town Hall and the statue of h.c. Handersen.

  • The Town Hall Square (Rådhuspladsen) to the city center is a good starting point for a walk in Copenhagen. The City Hall, an imposing building, is located on the square. Its construction is of the early twentieth century. Like other buildings in Copenhagen and in Denmark who found inspiration in Italian architecture, the square is a representation of piazza del Campo in Siena and the clock tower of the torre del Mangia. You can visit some of the pleasant salons of the City Hall and climb to the top of the Tower, from where on a clear day you can see the whole city.

  • Great healthy food. 50% price after 21:00. Choose between today's meal or 1 (39kr) to 5 (89kr) of thier many different salads
  • The salads here were varied, well-spiced, and delicious. Lots of vegan options! The place has a very funky, plasticy decor. One minus: we were served the salads in plastic containers, even though we were eating in and there were plates for hot food!
  • Over priced for salads it serves
  • Nice cold healthy food
  • Good fresh salad
