Architectural Building
Central Station is the hub of the Danish State railway network serving Denmark and international destinations. The current station opened its seven platforms and 13 tracks to the public in 1911. Architect Heinrich Wenck designed the building in the same style as the town hall. In the main hall, look for the big "clock" the most traditional and practical place to meet in Copenhagen. The station houses a post office, a supermarket, a bakery, a shopping center, baby-changing facilities, restrooms, showers, luggage storage, and a lost-and-found office. Nearby attractions include the Tivoli amusement park and the town hall. Take a look at our Copenhagen vacation generator to schedule your visit to Central Station and learn about what else to see and do during your holiday.
