Botanical Gardens (Botanisk Have), Copenhagen

(4.5/5 based on 1,400+ reviews on the web)
For a free lesson about Denmark's rich plant life, visit Botanical Gardens (Botanisk Have), an oasis of greenery in the city's central district. The extensive park encompasses more than 10 hectares (24 acres) and serves both educational and recreational purposes. A complex of 27 greenhouses are historic buildings from the 1870s that now shelter domestic and exotic plant species, including palms, cacti, orchids, and begonias. A special climate-controlled greenhouse recreates the habitat suitable for growing Arctic plants, while another building protects a large collection of cycad plants, some of which are more than a century old. Botanical Gardens (Botanisk Have) is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our custom trip planner, Copenhagen Edition.

  • Very beautiful gardens that are home to some that another piece of sculpture (idk if it is original) as the discus thrower. The bad was that the main store was closed and we could not get information. Paisajisticamente is very nice, with a lake that crosses it, and some to another boat.

  • Botanical Gardens in Copenhagen is another gem in the middle of Copenhagen. There's a large lake and a huge greenhouse with lots of beautiful plants and flowers.
  • Just returned from a long weekend in Copenhagen.day one was very cold and wet so we decided to visit the botanical gardens to escape the weather for a while. Although we visited in February so the gar...  more »

  • Stunning area of greenery in an already very green city. Great place to have a picknick or just walk about, looking at students having fun. Nice selection of plants and herbs to investigate. There is a nice café next to the large central pond which serves nice coffee.
  • Nice variety of plants, well kept paths, but... No kids activity, except for a single tree that was chucked down and left there to use as a climbing tool. Quite dangerous. Cafe hours are quite limited, and the greenhouse closes at 15:00. Plan to come in the morning.
  • This park has everything a person needs; it has beautiful flowers and trees, seasonal produce to look at and show your kids, running and walking paths and a great little cafe in the summer. A beautiful space in the center of Lund.
  • Fantastisk område at gå rundt i
  • Pretty cracking Botanical garden! Definitely check it out if you're in Lund. Gets a bit dull in the winter because all the flowers are sleeping underground but there are still some pretty statues and buildings to gawp at.
