Amager Strandpark, Copenhagen
(4.5/5 based on 190+ reviews on the web)
Stroll, run, swim, skate, rent a kayak, or go diving at Amager Strandpark. An artificial island was added to the original beach in 2005, creating a lagoon with shallow-water areas suitable for children. Cross one of the three narrow bridges to get to the 2 km (1.24 mi) long island. The northern section of the island features sandy beaches and sand dunes. The southern section offers recreation grounds, playing fields, a picnic site, and a promenade. Amenities include a small marina and parking facilities.
