Tivoli Friheden, Aarhus

3.8
#4 of 6 in Theme Parks in East Jutland
Theme Park Water / Amusement Park
The haunted house, illusion factory, and 5-D cinema are just a few of the 40 attractions at one of Denmark's oldest amusement parks, Tivoli Friheden. There are many rides to choose from that vary in intensity. Try the swings for elevated views of the surrounding park, play a round of mini golf on the 12-hole course, or brave the rough seas on the imitation pirate ship. Throughout the park you'll find live entertainment such as Pjerrot the magician and the park's two mascots, Mrs. Frog and Mr. Rabbit. Try some of the traditional Danish dishes at the on-site restaurant, or use the barbecue in the picnic area. • If you are fond of tivoli Tivoli Friheden recommended. Lots of cute activities for children of all ages. Even for the very least. Package with lunch, drinks and snacks as a release the large expenses for food. Kids alesket it. Will definitely back here.

  • Tivoli Friheden is a nice place to spend time with the family ... sentence!! We run an annual trip with the whole family in Tivoli Frioheden and it never disappoints. Tivoli Friheden is a quiet place where you can relax while the kids are trying the rides and the Park is not greater than that they can move around on your own in a relatively low age. You need a day without it costing a lot of money, so violently is Tivoli friheden worth a visit. You can buy season pass if you want to take advantage of the offer of music Fridays,

  • We have just returned from visits to Tivoli Friheden with our boys at 5 and 7 years. Let us just say that we stepped into the port from we met friendly and helpful staffs. All from the first young man, as fresh enough asked us to review the best service employee we met throughout the day. Sweet Anders in the hive and small talked with our big boy about the funniest rides, and the guard who helped us as the minimum in a heartbeat played Acrobat and punched hole in the head. We were in very safe hands and really grateful to be helped out of the Park (a little cool that one might try a wheelchair) Directions to emergency room-something to drink and even new tickets because the big boy was deeply unhappy that the visit might conclude already. We look forward very much to come back again for your fantastic Tivoli

  • If you are a visitor, this is an excellent small theme park. If you live near the park (like I do), it is a wonderful theme park for you children go to during the summer months. Compared to US theme parks, this place is not crowded compared to what I'm use to and I've been on busy summer days. There is a great casual feel us fun and quality family time at this park. I can let my kids run free and not worry. I agree what others have said that it could use some new ideas given it is a smaller park. I've also visited during Christmas and it was quite lovely. The Christmas markets, food, and øl kept me happy while my kids played.
  • Quite a compact theme-park, but it works and serves its visitors well. However, as many other google users have mentioned, the park could use some new ideas in their rides, and try to make full use of their limited space effectively. During the off-season, there are still quite a few people, but of course the waits are considerably shorter, while during the peak seasons, this place will be packed full. Overall, its a nice park for what it is, but if you are a frequent visitor you may find yourself becoming bored of this place quite quickly.
  • It's a nice tivoli, but limited in its size by its location. Its position in the middle of the forest helps a lot to the atmosphere. Locals (including me) love it, but objectively it could use a renovation and new ideas...
  • Quite nice, but expensive. Funeral/old style shopping like music in outdoor loudspeakers.. Why not some happy music? Not many people on a Sunday first in July. Probably because it is too expensive.
  • It's a small park which I think is a good thing, it could still use some more rollercoasters though. I love the atmosphere, because of the forest, the theme parks atmosphere is great. Not many rides with loops or where you can be upside down, I think the park needs more of those rides, the only ones with loops/where you go upside down are: Cobra, Pegasus, Orkanens oge. I still love the park though :)

Where to stay in Aarhus

For a price, you can stay close to the main sights of this charming city at one of the many hotels located in Aarhus' historical old town. While it may feel like a romantic small town with its cobbled streets, accommodations here, especially centrally located options or hotels along the marina, are just as expensive as in many other Scandinavian cities. Moderately priced hotels and hostels are limited, so if you are traveling on a budget, book early at a spot outside the city center. For nature lovers passing through the city, there are also campgrounds located near Aarhus in the beautiful surrounding forests.
