  • For us Italians is science fiction see a library like that but for Denmark, which in its 18th century also boasts the folkehøjskole N.F.S. Grundtvig, educationalist and politician, invented by this is the direct result of a concept of culture absolutely accepted. In the central room, there is the tubular Bell that ushers in the year 2017 Aarhus, European capital of culture. There are student media areas, play areas for children and families, with books, DVDs and all the material to look at and borrow on the shelves ... Children's books, comic books, board games ... and all bright, clean. And lots and lots of people going in and out. A show.

  • All I have to say is...OMG!!!. I've been watching as Dokk1 was going up, but I never knew it was going to be so futuristic/modern. Starting with the japanese style car park which if you are driving, y...  more »
  • I'm here in Aarhus as exchange student, and that's a great library. Great to relax, read, study, relax, eat a snack. Also suitable for children, since it contains a children's playground and a costume room!

  • One of the best libraries in the world. I often study there and do my research, but you might have problems doing that if you require complete silence. There are private rooms which you can book though. This is a very inspirational place for me and I love how everyone can use it, even if you have a kid there is lots of play areas. If you need a quick study break, you can take a walk inside, play table hockey or foosball, play Xbox or PS4, what ever. Best place in Aarhus by far. I would really like for it to work through the night.
  • It's more of a place to read than to study if studying, for you requires extra silence and attention. It's quite noisy always. Few silent rooms so you've got to grab a seat early in those places. The architecture and design is just awesome. It overlooks the harbor giving you a nice scenery outside. Books to read, scene to enjoy and design to relish. What else do you want? :)
  • Best library in the world. Kids, elders, youngsters, entrepreneurs, everyone has a space to thrive there.
  • This is a must visit in Aarhus. Very interesting architecture. It's not like any other library. There's a small cozy cafe, and the view from the terrace is awesome.
  • Interesting library. Too bad you need to follow so many steps to use the free wifi.
